Linda Koffenberger

Dear Airfloat, Thank you very much for your generous donation of $500 for the Airfloat Strongbox for Outstanding Recognition for our 14th International Exhibition.

The show, held in Albuquerque last month, was an even bigger success than last year. Attendance at the convention was the largest ever and the quality of the work in the Exhibition rivaled any show in the past. It was also our largest, with 152 pieces juried into the exhibition and $15,000 in awards. Again this year, there was an astonishing variety of work from well-known colored pencil artists as well as artists entering the show for the first time.

Even the mayor of Albuquerque attended the Opening Reception and declared July "Colored Pencil Society of America" Month!

We can not thank you enough for your very loyal support of CPSA. It means so much to be able to offer monetary awards from corporate supporters with the stature of Airfloat Systems, a name our members recognize as the best in art packaging. It adds a level of prestige to our exhibitions which we could not generate any other way - to say nothing of the pride an artist has upon learning they have won the award. This year your award was won by Cynthia Brunk for her painting, 'Annabel'. I have enclosed a print of the painting along with a Show Program as mementos of the Exhibition. If you would like to view the other winning artwork, it is now posted on our website, www.cpsa.org.

Once you use a Strongbox, you will not use any other packaging option. We have great plans and great expectations for the future of colored pencil in fine arts. Thank you again for your support.

Yours truly,

I want to thank you for the wonderfully sturdy Airfloat Strongbox that I recently purchased from you to ship a rather large painting to a competition in Philadelphia, PA. I am happy to report that the painting made the trip up and back safely in your container.

Based on the evidence upon return that a sharp object had penetrated the cardboard, the plastic liner did its job by protecting the canvas from direct puncture. The frame even made the journey without any of the hairline cracks that often develop in the corners under the stress of being roughly handled. I believe the foam rubber layer absorbed any violent shocks that might have come, and therefore protected it.

Thank you for allowing me to come and "test drive" the container before I purchased it. It was nice to see your facilities, and I appreciate the care with which you addressed my concerns. The frames I put around my paintings tend to be thick in depth. I am glad we were able to squeak by with this one.

In addition, the painting itself faired well in Philadelphia, as it took the Grand Prize at the Portrait Society of America's International Competition. It's especially nice to me that subject, artists, painting, and container were all homegrown here in Mississippi.

So with painting and frame successfully back and in excellent shape, the note is sent with much gratitude.

Sincerely,
Jason Bouldin

Post Script: I remember where I first came in contact with your product information. Your Strongbox was being endorsed by the Arts for the Parks annual competition.

As small antiques dealers we have found the safest and best way to ship an antique painting is by using a Strongbox made by Airfloat Systems. The exceptionally sturdy construction and optional liner have safely transported very delicate canvas and frames across the country. Even our customers comment on the high quality professional packaging.

"We have been using Airfloat Systems exclusively for more than twenty years for packaging both framed oil paintings, and unframed prints. We have never filed a single claim for damage in all that time.

It is fast, simple to use, very secure and makes a highly professional presentation. Additionally, our collectors appreciate the ease of opening these intelligently designed crate systems because there are no nails, screws, packaging "peanuts" or splinters with which to contend. We think it makes good sense to keep our customers happy."

"With my wife Judy's assistance, over 200 boxes containing paintings or matted works (for jurying for NWS membership) were unpacked and repacked. I probably saw almost every conceivable way to box a painting for shipment. By far the best product for shipping art is the "Strong Box" made by Airfloat Systems. Their boxes are specifically made for shipping art, and are constructed of heavy corrugated material with puncture guard liners. The painting fits into a foam rubber section with the center removed to just fit the painting. This is sandwiched between two layers of foam rubber protecting the artwork from every direction. These boxes can be reused many times."

I am the lucky artist who won the gift certificate for Airfloat Systems at the Northeast Watercolor Society National Exhibition. Airfloat Systems shipping boxes are great and I have already used them to ship paintings across the country, and the paintings are never damaged. As soon as I determine what sizes I require I will place another order.

We appreciate your donation and the support you give to artists, and I will recommend your product to other artists I know.

Thank you so much for the certificate, and I look forward to having more boxes in varied sizes.

Sincerely,

Celia Clark - New York

"Strongboxes" keep expensive works of art safe while being shipped and, can be used as shipping containers a number of times. Garzoli says that he and many other dealers in period and antique prints and works of art have used "Strongboxes" for years and rely on them in a variety of shipping circumstances. Art organizations like the National Watercolor Society and The National Park Academy of the Arts also recommend Airfloat Systems to all artists for their packaging and shipping needs.

"Packing and shipping art is a lot cheaper and easier than it used to be, thanks to Airfloat Systems. Back in the old days, shipping art meant either building expensive custom containers in-house, purchasing special packing materials and then custom-fitting them around the art; or hiring expensive fine art shippers to do it for you. For fifteen years, Airfloat Systems has been serving the art community with increasingly sophisticated affordable art packaging solutions."
